What We Do – Powerlifting & Weightlifting Club London
We run classes, workshops, and private sessions in all aspects of strength building, led by British powerlifting and strength training experts.
We work with complete beginners through to competitive athletes to help all of our clients achieve their fitness, athletic and competing goals. We’re based in London, UK – come see us!
All our classes and workshops are listed below. You can see the class timetable and book an event via the calendar.
How It Works
Our main services are Weightlifting, Strongman and Powerlifting classes. We run classes at our gym in London West Ham and online.
For new members that are lifting beginners, you’ll need to complete an introductory session before joining regular classes. If you are an experienced lifter, you can drop into classes or train on your own in the gym.
Gym memberships are available at our gym in London West Ham, working around the class schedule. It’s a small gym so we all have to work together and share the space and equipment.
We have both indoor and outdoor space available. Pre-booking for all sessions and classes is essential, at least 2 hours before the session time.
Olympic Weightlifting (snatch, clean & jerk)
Olympic Weightlifting regular classes (men/women) – regular weekly classes for beginners to intermediates. In this class we aim to improve technique and strength in the snatch and the clean & jerk. We hold our own club competitions and also compete in open events around the region.
Gym strength classes
Strength training/Powerlifting In London
Building Strength (men/women) – powerlifting-based strength training for beginner to intermediate lifters. This class focuses on the squat, bench press and deadlift as our core lifts, with mobility and supplementary exercises as needed.
Ladies Who Lift (women only) – strength training for women, beginners and intermediates. This popular class has been running since 2011! We build full body strength around the squat and deadlift, as well as numerous upper body and core exercises.
Powerlifting team (women only) – advanced, by invitation. We train to compete in the squat, bench press and deadlift.
Intro to Powerlifting London – this standalone workshop introduces the squat, bench press and deadlift to those new to the power lifts. If you are a beginner wanting to join any of the classes listed above, you should do this workshop first. These classes are all held at our powerlifting gym in London.
Personal & remote training
Personal training – private sessions (men/women). We provide a small amount of private 1-2-1 training, mainly to improve technique in the big lifts. This can be at our gym in London West Ham or online.
Individualised Programming – a monthly private session + program, alongside membership to our gym in London West Ham.
Our Blog – We regularly update our blog with tips and tricks to help you with your training. Whether it’s advice on your deadlift stance or an easy home workout it’s full of useful information.

Plus great coaching and community vibes.Posted on MariTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic introduction to the world of powerlifting! I attended weekly women’s classes and my confidence grew massively in lifting, particularly as I required multiple adjustments in technique. I hope to be able to return to these classes in the future as it was a lovely communityPosted on Rosie RavenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I will be returning!Posted on Federica PesciniTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Attended the intro course to weightlifting. Such an encouraging environment, Chris was a great coach, and though I can’t continue to attend the classes because I’m not based in London at the moment, I would recommend this gym to anyone who wants to give weightlifting a go.Posted on Sophie EdwardsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I really enjoyed the introduction to Olympic weight lifting with Chris. He broke down all of the moves into manageable chunks and we were given time to practice each bit. Chris is very knowledgeable and passionate about olympic lifting which really helps! Would definitely recommend if you’re curious and keen to have a go at olympic weight lifting.Posted on Melissa CabecinhaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Such a great gym with excellent coaches and a nice and encouraging community of lifters. I've taken the ladies who lift beginners course for powerlifting, intro to strongman/strongwoman, and the intro to Olympic lifting course. Everything is broken down and made really accessible, with a focus on technique. I was really nervous about doing any strength training at first, but the coaches are so friendly and approachable. Now I absolutely love it and come to classes regularly.Posted on Ge StaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This gym has such a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. So far I’ve attended a powerlifting workshop and class led by the knowledgable, patient and supportive coach Sally. Such a great place to learn how to lift.Posted on D ZTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
