Getting Started With Strength Training
If you are new to weightlifting or powerlifting, we recommend starting with our Intro to Powerlifting workshop. This class will teach you the fundamentals of strength training, including proper lifting techniques and safe equipment usage, ensuring you build muscle efficiently and with correct form.
If you haven’t lifted barbells before or performed exercises such as squats or deadlifts with an Olympic bar, completing the Intro to Powerlifting workshop is recommended before progressing to Building Strength classes.
For those who are already familiar with power lifts and confident using weights, barbells, and racks, the Building Strength class is the perfect next step to refine your technique, develop a structured training routine, and take your strength to the next level.

Strength Training FAQs
Our Building Strength classes are open to individuals of all fitness levels. Whether you’re a beginner looking to develop foundational strength or an experienced lifter wanting to refine your technique, our expert coaching will help you progress effectively.
The class focuses on compound lifts such as squats, deadlifts, and bench presses, as well as bodyweight exercises to enhance core strength and stability. Expect a total body workout that targets major muscle groups and incorporates functional movements to improve overall strength.
If you have no prior experience with barbell exercises, we strongly encourage you to complete our Intro to Powerlifting workshop first. However, if you’re familiar with the power lifts, confident with gym equipment, and ready to improve your strength training routine, you can book directly into our Building Strength class.
