Here at Strength Ambassadors, we love introducing people to the sport of Strongman. We believe Strongman Training is for everyone, and has direct carryover to the demands of everyday life. It’s the ultimate in functional fitness!
We run regular strongman training sessions for all levels depending on what you want to achieve, from beginner to intermediate, through to competitive strongman or strongwoman.
What is Strongman?
In the strength sport known as “strongman,” competitors must perform a variety of feats of strength. The lifts might differ from competition to competition and are not like your typical Olympic weightlifting or powerlifting movements. Competitions frequently take place outside rather than in a gym, and the equipment is not restricted to barbells and dumbbells.
It is important for the athletes to have a solid foundation of physical fitness and strength, which is why strongman training is so distinctive and enjoyable. They may exercise by pushing logs aloft, pulling trucks, carrying sandbags, deadlifting odd objects, or walking while carrying weights in each arm.
Our gym has a variety of strongman equipment such as atlas stones, logs, kegs, yoke, farmers handles, tyres, sleds, axle, sledgehammers and various other strongman toys.
We run our Strongman sessions on Sundays and Wednesdays. Read on for the details of each event.
Strongman Classes In London
We have a session for you whether you are a beginner or an experienced strongman/strongwoman.
1. Intro to Strongman workshop
This is where you start if you are completely new to strongman, or you have had a go at some of the events, but not learned the correct technique.
Our 2-hour Intro to Strongman workshop will take you through some of the classic events of Strongman, such as atlas stones, log press, yoke, farmers walk and more.
We have ‘light’ versions of all the implements, so you certainly don’t need to be super strong already, in order to enjoy and take part in this workshop. In fact, we encourage new lifters to try strongman – you could surprise yourself!
The workshop costs £49. To book a workshop, please click on your chosen date below. If you have any questions, do please contact us.

2. Sunday Strongman Events Training
Sundays, 10.30am-12.30pm
Sundays are for strongman here at SA. We try to cater for all abilities, from those just getting started with the sport, all the way up to those competing at national level.
The core of our day is the morning events. This is a 2 hour coached session running from 10.30am – 12.30pm.
It’s a mixed gender & mixed ability group. The group generally works together towards a local competition in 5-8 week blocks, with a few extra events thrown in for fun.
You don’t need to be doing this (or any) competition if you don’t wish. Coming down simply to enjoy the session is
totally fine.
There’s no need to wait until the start of a new block, just come join when you can. A session typically consists of 3-4 strongman events, with at least 2 taken from the comp we are leading up to. We’re open to requests if you’d like to cover a particular event and will always accommodate where we can. See below for equipment available.
Please feel free to drop us a message for advice if you’re not sure.
