Please note that the Sunday Strongman Squad session is for experienced strongmen and strongwomen and is not suitable for beginners. If you are new to Strongman, the place to start is our Intro to Strongman workshop held every few weeks, and our regular beginner strongman classes on a Wednesday evening.

We run the following strongman training sessions:
1. Beginner Strongman Training (Intro to Strongman)
For beginners, those new to strongman. Regular workshops and classes to learn the main events in strongman.
Ideally you would attend an Intro to Strongman workshop, and then continue with our regular beginners classes. However you are also welcome to drop into a beginners class if you can’t make the next workshop.
Our regular strongman beginners classes are on Wednesday evenings 7.30pm-8.30pm. Non-members can drop in for £15 per class (advance booking essential). Click here to Book A Class
Our next Intro to Strongman beginners workshop is:
This 2-hour workshop introduces the sport of strongman/strongwoman to beginners. It is suitable for those who have done some weight training before, but may be completely new to strongman, or those who have tried strongman before but would like more in-depth coaching on the events.
This workshop is not suitable for people who are completely new to lifting free weights. You do need to be able to competently perform a barbell deadlift, to join this workshop.
However, you don’t need to be super strong! We just want to ensure that you have the technique to pick weights up safely. We have light ‘beginner’ versions of all the events you will be learning in this session.
In this Intro to Strongman, you’ll learn to lift a log, hoist an atlas stone, flip a tyre and carry a load.
This workshop is the introduction session for our regular strongman training sessions.
If, however, you have no experience with lifting free weights and you want a complete introduction to weight training, then the Intro to Powerlifting workshop is for you.

Regular strongman training for those who have graduated from our beginners classes or have experience with strongman.
