Olympic Lifting classes are designed for lifters who have done a beginners course and learned basic technique, and who now need a regular class to dramatically improve their numbers and feel confident in their technique.
What is involved in a typical olympic lifting class?
You will work on olympic weightlifting skill, strength, power and muscle conditioning.
Classes consist of a planned workout of the day, led by an experienced coach. We start with technique drills, move onto the classical lifts and finish with strength work and/or a muscular conditioning circuit.
You will also get access to the weekly training programme so that you can make progress faster between classes.
We hold a club competition several times a year, which is a fun introduction to the sport of competitive weightlifting. It’s not compulsory but everyone who tries it has a great time, even if they are a little nervous!
Crossfitters are welcome! If you are already doing the olympic lifts and want to improve, then this is the right class for you.
