Olympic Weightlifting and Functional Fitness Coach

My name’s Chris and I coach Olympic weightlifting and functional fitness. When it comes to fitness, I strongly believe in finding something challenging that motivates and excites you; if you can engage with and fall in love with the process, you’ll discover you’re capable of amazing things and build strength and fitness along the way without even noticing!

I am deeply passionate about (some would say ‘obsessed with’) weightlifting as a sport and sharing that with others. I love to train and compete (at the time of writing, I’m ranked third in the UK in my age group and weight class) and I absolutely adore coaching. I’ve been training/competing for a little over 4 years and coaching for 2 (and I was a personal trainer years before that so I know my way around a gym!).

I obtained my level 2 and 3 fitness instructor/personal trainer certification through NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and have a British Weightlifting Level 2 coaching certificate as well as being a Barbell Rehab Method Certified coach, enabling me to work with clients experiencing pain, training through injury and working with mobility limitations.

The gym is a 5 minute walk from West Ham station. Free car parking is also available. West Ham is on Jubilee, District, Hammersmith & City, DLR and national rail.
