How to train for ring muscle ups

By Sally
Tuesday, April 22nd, 2014

Top street workout trainers Fi and Shirley show you how to start training for ring muscle ups. Ring muscle ups are generally easier than bar muscle ups, especially for women, because they take a bit less upper body strength.

Yes, you still need to be strong enough to do pull ups and dips – but due to the position of the rings, you don’t have to get your chest as high as you do in a bar muscle up, thus you can get away with slightly less upper body pulling strength.

Watch the video to find out how to start training for a badass ring muscle up!

Want to be coached for ring muscle ups in person? Come to a Bodyweight Training Workshop with Fi and Sally!
